Stephanie Bode Ward
Stephanie is strategy advisor, consultative coach and facilitator. She has spent the last two decades advocating for education justice and equity in both public and private institutions. She believes that student and family leadership is a fundamental part of healthy learning communities. Stephanie’s expertise is in strategy development and dialogue.
Stephanie specializes as a trained and experienced facilitator of dialogues about race, class, and power. She has coached institutions on how to educate and diversify their leadership, has founded a Crisis Team that created a protocol for a school’s immediate and long-term reaction to trauma, and has co-drafted a racial justice and equity protocol for an advocacy organization. She is committed to naming and breaking patterns of oppression in all sectors, recently focusing on educational and religious institutions.
Stephanie developed her initial framework for thinking about her place within systems of oppression while serving in Peace Corps in Guatemala. She built on this foundation during her six years working in community housing in Oklahoma City, OK and Chelsea, MA. Stephanie holds a BA in Political Science from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and speaks German and Spanish. She is a mom, partner and friend to many in the Boston area.
